Orschwihr
Orschwihr is a charming Alsatian wine village located on the wine route, nestled in a valley where vineyards and dry hills blend.
Its Mediterranean microclimate supports prosperous viticulture, especially on the well-exposed slopes of Bollenberg and Pfingstberg, both classified as Alsace Grand Crus.
Since the 16th century, this wealth has shaped the village, as evidenced by the many farmhouses still visible today, mainly in the lower part of the village.
The upper village was once the district of workers and small winegrowers.
Beyond its renowned wines, Orschwihr stands out for its dry heathlands, home to exceptional wildlife and flora. The Bollenberg hill, in particular, enjoys remarkable sunshine throughout the year.
