Ottrott

Perched in the heart of Alsace, the village of Ottrott charms with its authentic character and flower-lined streets. Nature and history enthusiasts will be fascinated by the pagan wall, an imposing 10.5 km enclosure whose origins, still unclear, date back to the Celtic or Roman era. Local winemakers proudly continue a nearly thousand-year-old viticultural heritage, notably through the Rouge d'Ottrott, a Burgundian grape variety cultivated here since the 11th century. Higher up, Mont Sainte-Odile rises as a spiritual and tourist symbol, attracting pilgrims and visitors with its breathtaking landscapes. From its heights, the view embraces the entire Alsace plain and the peaks of the Vosges massif, offering an unforgettable spectacle.
