P'tit Musée
Step through the door of an Alsatian house dating back to 1672 and immerse yourself in a collection of objects and life scenes that reveal the soul of the region.
Traditional costumes, headdresses, old linens, furniture, and tableware make up this collection, patiently gathered by the Kronthal & Mossig History Circle thanks to donations from local residents. Each piece comes to life through evocative displays: in the kitchen, a dough trough and a 1905 recipe book evoke the scents of the past, while a sewing bag from the boarding school waits for a seamstress near a Singer sewing machine. In the Stub, the heart of the traditional house, the Herrgottswinkel watches over the alcove where the grandmother rests, and further along, the grandfather's dolls are observed by an elegant bourgeois woman in a silk dress.
Every corner of the museum holds a surprise, every detail stirs emotion.
The Friends of the P'tit Musée welcome you to share these stories and guide you on an emotional journey through time. Visits are by reservation only.
