Parc de Wesserling - Textile Ecomuseum

The Parc de Wesserling, classified as a Textile Ecomuseum, is a unique site where history, nature, and industry blend together. At the heart of the Manufacturers' Castle, a museum traces the textile adventure of the region. The estate spans five remarkable gardens, each offering a different atmosphere: Mediterranean terraces, a formal garden, an English park, old vegetable gardens, and a rural park. These spaces are brought to life with fun activities, events, and even a barefoot path for a unique sensory experience. The Farmhouse, with its animals, immerses visitors in rural life at the beginning of the 20th century, while the Large Boiler House, restored with sound and light effects, illustrates industrial evolution from the 1960s to the 1990s. A reconstructed laboratory and a turbine room converted into a shop complete the offering. The large Ecomuseum Circuit, made up of seven historical stages, guides visitors through 250 years of textile history, from the Royal Indian Manufacture in 1785 to the site's revival in the 21st century. Each stage reveals anecdotes, know-how, and iconic places, offering a full immersion into Wesserling's industrial and landscape heritage.
