Parc des Eaux Vives

The Parc des Eaux Vives is a must-visit for nature and adventure lovers in Alsace. Born from the redevelopment of a former port wasteland along the Huningue canal, this park was inaugurated in 1993. It revitalized an industrial area while creating a large leisure and relaxation site by the water.

At the heart of the park, an artificial river offers year-round white-water activities such as kayaking, rafting, canorafting, and hydrospeed. Originally designed for canoe-kayak training at all levels, this site is now recognized as one of the most important in the discipline in the region.

A true urban green lung, the park extends within a carefully landscaped setting, with relaxation areas, playgrounds for children, walking trails, and picnic zones. It has also become a refuge for biodiversity, hosting a variety of fauna and flora.
