Petit Geroldseck Castle

The Geroldseck Castle, probably built around the mid-13th century by the lords of Geroldseck, was a fief under the bishopric of Metz, which also included the lordship of Marmoutier. Documents from 1235 already mention "two lands of Gerolsec." During the first half of the 14th century, it was referred to as the new Geroldseck. However, this site seems to have been abandoned very early, likely as early as the 15th century, leaving only remnants of its past today.
