Picnic Area of the Eiblen Park

The Eiblen is a vast natural area distinguished by its stork enclosure, serving both as an educational site and a care center for injured birds. The site also hosts numerous domestic animals, and its pond provides a refuge for aquatic birds.

This place, a remnant of traditional agriculture isolated in the Hardt steppe, offers significant scenic interest. It shelters ancient varieties of fruit trees, creating a favored habitat for owls, woodpeckers, and other cavity-dwelling species.

Two educational trails allow visitors to discover the diversity of fauna and flora across the park's various biotopes, as well as along the waterway, the Ill river bordering the site. Picnic areas, playgrounds, walking spaces, and sports facilities such as the municipal swimming pool, tennis club, pétanque courts, and ping-pong tables make it an ideal spot for leisure and sports activities.
