Picnic Area - Route de Riquewihr

Two pleasant walks, starting from Kientzheim or Sigolsheim, lead to a charming sunny picnic area.

From the center of Sigolsheim, a hike takes you to the national necropolis, a large military cemetery built on Blutberg, nicknamed the mountain of blood in memory of the deadly battles of January and February 1945.

Although the ascent is somewhat steep, it rewards hikers with a spectacular view, on clear days, of the surrounding vineyards.

From Kientzheim, the route leads to the Oak of the Chapel, a majestic tree over two centuries old.
