Picnic Area - Source of Lac Blanc

After a forty-five minute walk along the ridge starting from the Col du Calvaire, a shaded picnic area invites you to take a well-deserved break. Take the opportunity to refresh yourself or enjoy your snack while admiring the scenery.

From this spot, the view is striking: Lac Blanc stretches out before you, its name coming from the light color of the fine sand lining its crystal-clear bottom. The transparent water reflects the surrounding terrain, offering a natural spectacle of great purity.

Once rested, you can resume your ascent towards the Gazon du Faing. This granite summit, rising over a thousand meters, majestically overlooks the Val d'Orbey and the Munster Valley. Its gentle slopes and rounded rocks make it an iconic stop on this hike.
