Protestant Church

Since the 18th century, a Protestant community settled in Illhaeusern and built a chapel in 1868. Destroyed during World War II, it was rebuilt in 1952 thanks to war damages and the generosity of parishioners. In 1970, stained glass windows designed by painter Roger Muhl were installed. They depict, through a palette ranging from dark red to blue, humanity's passage from the material world to the immaterial, also symbolizing man's redemption through the Cross. The chapel also houses an altarpiece created by Christophe Baron.
