Rammersmatt

Perched on a historic route connecting the valleys of Thann and Masevaux, Rambrechtmatten unfolds its charm in a preserved natural setting.

This small Alsatian village, first mentioned around 1256, takes its name from Lord Ramprecht, who owned the lands and meadows long before the first inhabitants arrived. Situated on the heights, it offers an exceptional panorama of the Alsace plain, the Black Forest, and, on clear days, the distant Alpine peaks. Between tradition and breathtaking landscapes, Rambrechtmatten invites contemplation.

Near the Aspach Bridge, a majestic calvary surrounded by tall trees marks the village entrance.

Not far from there, the gravel pit, a former extraction site turned walking area, attracts visitors seeking tranquility and soothing views.
