Relais des Marches Guesthouse - Sylvain Chartier
Perched about forty kilometers west of Strasbourg, at the entrance to the Bruche Valley and at the foot of the impressive Nideck Waterfalls, the village of Oberhaslach charms visitors with its flowers and character.
Here, in an old Vosgian stone farmhouse built in 1838, Bénédicte and Sylvain, two sculptor artists, have breathed new life into this historic place. Their work has transformed it into five guest rooms, a holiday rental, and a restaurant called LOTEL, run by their two sons, Vincent and Victorien. Sylvain personally welcomes travelers to the rooms and rental, while the entire property reflects their passion for art through carefully displayed works, extending to the garden where guests can dine outdoors in good weather.
This artistic and peaceful setting is the perfect starting point to explore the Vosges Massif, its 60 km-long sculpture trails through the forest, the beginning of the Wine Route, and many nearby tourist sites such as Mont Sainte-Odile, the Alsace-Moselle Memorial, and surrounding castles.
