Renaissance House

The Renaissance house of Kaysersberg, built in 1492 by the blacksmith Herzer, is an iconic monument of the town. He lived there all his life.

On the lintel of its large window, a German inscription recalls its history.

Restored in 1907, this residence then served as the municipal museum for sixty-five years, before becoming a place rich in memory and remarkable architecture.
