Reutenbourg
Reutenbourg is first mentioned in the 10th century in an inventory of the assets of the Marmoutier Abbey. In the early 12th century, it was granted as a fief to the lords of Géroldseck, then passed to the Wangen-Géroldseck family after the extinction of the former. In 1537, the lords of Wangen repurchased their possessions, including Reutenbourg. The Bishop of Strasbourg, François Egon de Fürstenberg, acquired the village in 1667 before selling it in 1705 to the Marmoutier Abbey, which thus regained its former lands. In 1790, Reutenbourg was incorporated into the canton of Marmoutier.
