Rhinwald Forest Park
This 1,300-hectare forest massif stretches between the communes of Marckolsheim and Schoenau.
It is crisscrossed by old branches of the Rhine, including the Steingruengiessen, a majestic phreatic river winding through the landscape.
Nicknamed the Rhine jungle due to the exceptional density and diversity of plant and animal species it shelters, this forest offers a rich and preserved ecosystem.
Visitors can freely explore it on foot or by bike to discover its varied landscapes and remarkable flora and fauna.
