Roderen

Roderen stretches at the foot of the Vosges foothills, southwest of Thann, between the valleys of the Thur and the Doller.

The village extends along a valley carved by the "Petite Doller."

Its Saint-Laurent church houses one of the oldest bells in France, dated 1383.

This remarkable heritage reflects local history and medieval craftsmanship.

The Maria auf dem Rain chapel, once an important pilgrimage site, was rebuilt in 1935.

This new building replaced the old chapel, destroyed during the First World War, at the request of the inhabitants after the conflict.
