ROESER Mill

On the left bank of the Sarre River in Harskirchen, Roger Roeser preserves ancient milling traditions as a miller. He runs the last water mill still in operation with his family: his wife Ariane and their son Philippe. Every weekend, the nearby Auberge du Moulin serves tarte flambée and pizzas made with flour produced on site. The mill's flour is also sold Monday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. For an immersive experience in the history and techniques of milling, guided tours are available by appointment.
