Roman Bell Tower of Saint Sebastian Church in Obermorschwiller
Built in 1267, as confirmed by dendrochronological analyses conducted in 2012 at the initiative of the municipality, the Saint Sebastian Church of Obermorschwiller is notable for the diversity of its historical functions. This building housed the choir of the original church, a living space, and a defensive system. Today, its bell tower remains one of the oldest buildings still in use in the Sundgau region.
In summer, the Sundgau Tourist Office offers guided tours of Obermorschwiller, including the church and its bell tower, as part of its summer activities. Group visits can also be arranged upon request.
Additionally, the building is sometimes open during local events.
