Perched in the Vosges, Rombach-le-Franc is located just 10 kilometers from Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines and 17 kilometers from Sélestat by car. This village, part of the canton of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, is home to a warm community whose members are nicknamed the Rombéchats.
The history of Rombach-le-Franc dates back to the year 774, when it was founded by Vosgian settlers known as Welsches.
