Roppenheim
In 1543, the Barons of Fleckenstein, who had owned the village since 1359, introduced the Protestant Reformation there. This decision applied to all the municipalities of the Uffried.
Upon the extinction of the male Fleckenstein line, marked by the death of Henri Jakob de Fleckenstein in 1720, King Louis XV granted all rights related to these territories to the Princes Rohan-Soubise.
They retained the fief until the French Revolution in 1789.
