Rosheim

Rosheim, an Alsatian gem located on the Wine Route and the Romanesque Route, has a particularly rich historical past reflected in its architectural heritage. Strolling through its streets, you will be amazed by numerous Romanesque-era landmarks, starting with one of the oldest civil buildings in Alsace: the Romanesque House, also called the Pagan House, built in 1154. This architectural jewel is a unique privilege that only Rosheim can claim. The Saints Peter and Paul Church, dating from the 12th century, is another Romanesque masterpiece not to be missed. The old fortified gates, the six-bucket well, and the town hall complete this historical picture, offering a journey back in time at every street corner.
