Round Tower

The round tower is a key element of the fortifications of the medieval village of Dachstein, located on the Alsace wine route, about twenty kilometers from Strasbourg.

Dating from the Middle Ages, this tower is notable for its proximity to the Porte de la Bruche. Nicknamed the "gunner with seven firing openings," it reflects the defensive techniques of the time, designed to allow multiple and effective firing.
