Round Tower

In the Middle Ages, Wasselonne was protected by a castle built on a hill overlooking the town.

Today, only an entrance gate topped by a square tower, the former bailiff's residence, some remains of the enclosing walls, and a partially dismantled round tower remain.

This tower, 12 meters in diameter and 20 meters high, housed several casemates. Among them, the battery room was equipped with three cannons capable of firing in three different directions. The round tower is only visible from the outside.
