Rural Cross of 1848
This cross stands in the neighborhoods developed after the French Revolution.
According to local tradition, it was erected as a sign of atonement.
The story goes that a merchant passing through the village entrusted his belongings for safekeeping but was never able to retrieve them upon his return, hence the symbolism of this cross.
