Saint Augustine Church

Rimbach gained its parish autonomy through a royal decree by Louis-Philippe dated August 7, 1847, ending its attachment to the Sewen parish. The local church, blessed in 1848, was originally dedicated to Saint Nicholas.

However, due to difficulties caused by particularly harsh winters, a request was made to the bishopric to change the patron saint. The parish was then placed under the protection of Saint Augustine, whose feast is celebrated on August 28. The church's organ, entrusted to the restoration by organ builder Aimé Callinet from Rouffach, reflects the local musical heritage.

Additionally, two major interior renovation campaigns were carried out in 1926 and 1966, modernizing the building.
