Saint Bartholomew Church

Until the 19th century, the church was located at the heart of the cemetery, not far from the castle. First mentioned in 1366, only a part remains today: the choir, whose windows were rediscovered in 1998. In 1819, a fire destroyed the main altar and the framework. In 1823, the mayor requested the expansion of the building, deemed too small to accommodate all the faithful. The new church, whose construction began in 1871, is dedicated to Saint Bartholomew. It enjoyed the support of the German Emperor Wilhelm I, then Wilhelm II. The entire ensemble, including the furnishings, adopts a neo-Gothic style, very popular at the time.
