Saint Blaise Church
The first church of Westhalten once stood in the heart of the village, precisely where the current school is located on Rue de Rouffach. It was first documented in 1338 as a dependency of the Rouffach parish before gaining its independence in 1450.
A new place of worship was built between 1836 and 1841 at the current site, opposite the cemetery, at the northern exit of the village.
This building, of simple style, features a central nave flanked by aisles. Its bell tower porch houses four bells and above the entrances to the left and right aisles, a bilingual inscription in Latin and German recalls a biblical verse: "Worship the Lord your God and serve only Him. Matt. IV.10."
