Saint Dominic Church

This church is one of the oldest Marian sanctuaries in Alsace.

It was founded in 991 by the Bishop of Strasbourg, making it a building rich in history.

Serving both as a pilgrimage site and a parish church, it has hosted a community of nuns since 1289.

Until 1389, it remained the mother church of the parish of Thann. Additionally, it served as a meeting place for several local brotherhoods, including the Minstrels of Upper Alsace, the weavers, and the winemakers.
