Saint-Etienne Church
The oldest known church on this site dates back to the 12th century, probably built around 1160. It was inspired by the Ottonian style, notably characterized by a western mass symmetrical to that of the choir. Around the end of the 13th or the beginning of the 14th century, a fire devastated the building, causing part of the western mass to collapse. Rebuilt at the earliest in 1313, the church was ultimately demolished in the 18th century to make way for a new neoclassical style building. Today, only the remains of the western mass, transformed into a bell tower, bear witness to this ancient history. Since 1988, the building has been listed as a historic monument.
