Saint-Étienne Church
The Saint-Étienne Catholic Church, listed among the finest examples of neoclassical architecture in Alsace, was built at the end of the 18th century.
Its design, directly inspired by ancient Roman models, aims to convey a sense of grandeur and balance.
The imposing and refined façade features four Doric columns and houses statues of Saint Odile and Saint Arbogast, adding a spiritual and historical dimension to the building.
The bell tower, the only remaining part of the old medieval church that was destroyed, dates back to the 13th century, thus bearing witness to the continuity of the place of worship through the centuries. This work is by the architect Salins de Monfort, also known for designing the Château des Rohans in Saverne.
