Saint Félix and Saint Régule Chapel

Perched at the southern entrance of Kientzheim, this modest religious building embodies a rich past. Possibly founded as early as the 8th century, during the time of Étichon and Saint Odile, the chapel was long associated with the Cistercian abbey of Lucelle. Its history changed in 1466 when a miraculous event drew worshippers from across the region: statues, saved from the fire that destroyed the church of Sigolsheim, were said to have shed tears, making this place an important pilgrimage site for centuries. Damaged during World War II, the chapel was rebuilt in 1963 in a simple style, preserving its sober and contemplative character. Today, it still houses ancient ex-votos and continues to welcome worshippers, especially during summer masses. Nestled in the heart of the vineyards, this small chapel gracefully embodies local spirituality and history.
