Saint Fridolin Church
Built on the outskirts of the first workers' town, this church was constructed between 1902 and 1906 thanks to a generous donation from a parishioner.
The plans were designed by architect Becker, originally from Mainz.
In the Baroque style, it is named after the donor's husband and is inspired notably by the church of Säckingen in the Baden region, especially for its double onion dome towers.
However, its architecture remains restrained, including inside.
While the furnishings are richer than in other churches in the area, only the canopy main altar fully embodies the usually more exuberant Baroque style.
