Saint Hippolyte Church of Flexbourg
The Saint Hippolyte Church of Flexbourg is located in the center of the village and is part of a pilgrimage tradition dating back to the 14th century, likely linked to relics and a healing spring beneath the building. After being expanded in 1822 and relocating the cemetery in 1833, a new church was built between 1887 and 1888 in a neo-Romanesque style. It underwent restoration between 1956 and 1958.
Before this reconstruction, the old church, featuring a medieval tower-belfry, was too small to accommodate the faithful and was in poor condition. The current square-plan bell tower rises over four levels. At its base, a round-arched portal framed by columns and topped with a cross provides access inside. The second level features a rose window, the third a triplet of round-arched windows, and the top level has paired sound openings on each face.
The polygonal spire crowning the tower is topped with a cross.
The church's main entrance is marked by a rectangular portal.
