Saint Laurent Church
The Saint Laurent Church in Bergbieten, of the Catholic faith, is a building constructed using local and regional materials. Its walls are made from stones quarried in Wolxheim and Westhoffen, while the wood comes from the Kintzig Valley in Germany. The tiles were produced nearby. The church has an elongated plan ending with a flat apse, characteristic of the region's traditional religious architecture.
Inside, it houses baptismal fonts dating back to 1481 and two bells from the old bell tower. The main façade, marked by a gable wall, features a portal framed by a tympanum with a curved outline, topped by an oculus. The bell tower, distinct from the rest of the building, rises above the façade and has sound openings with louvers on each side. The side walls and apse have round-arched windows.
In 1835, the church was enhanced with a Stiehr organ comprising 17 registers.
