Saint-Léger Church

The Church of Saint-Léger, first mentioned in 1278, was associated with the Abbey of Murbach near Colmar. Its tower, with a square Romanesque base likely dating from the 12th century, is the only remaining part of an earlier building. The nave, of the hall type, is divided into three aisles, while the narrower choir was rebuilt between 1739 and 1740. The gable facade features a portal decorated with pilasters and a broken pediment, offering a fine example of religious architecture. Once surrounded by a fortified cemetery, the church now stands on slightly elevated ground, recalling this former enclosure.
