Saint-Léger Church
This parish church, built between 1182 and 1235 under the direction of the abbot of Murbach, replaces an old chapel located on the same site.
From its construction, it features an imposing facade flanked by two towers, an open porch, and an octagonal bell tower, elements that give it a distinctive silhouette.
Its harmonious and balanced architecture sets it apart from other Romanesque churches in Alsace, which often remained unfinished.
Over the centuries, additions and modifications have enriched the building, such as the addition of a five-sided apse and the raising of the upper parts of the choir.
