Saint Materne Spring

Near the RD124, this groundwater spring is notable for its remarkably stable flow and temperature throughout the year, around 11°C, summer and winter alike. According to local tradition, it was here that Saint Materne, the first evangelizer of Alsace, baptized about three thousand pagans. The spring is located close to the Saint Materne chapel, which is freely accessible.
