Saint Michael Church Knoersheim
The current church of Knœrsheim, located on the Main Street, replaced an earlier building that was too small and situated in the cemetery. Built in the 19th century, the original structure was partially demolished and now serves as the cemetery chapel. The date 1863 is engraved on the tympanum above its main door. Restored in 1997, the church houses a fragment of a cross dated 1712 on the sacristy wall, baptismal fonts from 1854, and stained glass windows created by the Ott Frères workshop of Strasbourg around the 1930s. The building, consisting of a single nave at one level, retains a choir decorated with 19th-century murals depicting draperies and foliage. A depiction of Saint Michael, the church's patron saint, is also painted there from the 19th century.
