Saint Nicholas Chapel
Perched in a remarkable setting, this chapel dates back to the 12th century. Originally, it served as the place of worship for the old hospital of the Niedermunster Abbey, which was destroyed by fire in 1542. The current building, rebuilt in 1845 by architects Boeswillwald and E. Cron, adopts a Romanesque style faithful to the original chapel, both in its layout and the materials used.
Inside, the chapel features a broken barrel vault and two superimposed choirs. The lower choir is dedicated to Saint Martin, while the upper choir honors Saint Michael. Two side staircases provide access to the altar located on the upper floor.
