Saint Nicholas Church

The church of Neuve-Eglise, dedicated to Saint Nicholas, immediately draws attention with its imposing Romanesque bell tower, visible from the entire fore-valley.

Along with Dieffenbach-au-Val and Fouchy, it is one of the few buildings in the Villé valley to retain a medieval bell tower.

The current building, constructed around this ancient tower, features a rectangular nave attached to the bell tower since 1735.

The sacristy, dating from the same period, now conceals the oculus of the wall tabernacle located to the left of the choir.

The stained glass windows, added in 1955, depict scenes from the life of the Virgin.

Finally, the organ, installed in 1961, completes the interior furnishings of this historic building.
