Saint Nicholas Church

The Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Ostheim, consecrated in May 1960, is distinguished by its decidedly modern architecture.

Inside, artist Tristan Ruhlmann created remarkable interior decorations.

The stained glass windows, central elements of the church, elegantly capture the light.

A linden wood statue, titled "Our Lady of Ostheim" and over two meters tall, represents Mary according to the description in the Apocalypse by Saint John.

At the back of the choir, a monumental canvas measuring seven by four meters, painted on jute, depicts the risen Christ appearing to the apostles on Easter evening.

The organ loft balustrade is adorned with a mosaic illustrating scenes from the life of Saint Nicholas.

Finally, the organs, installed in 1963, were crafted by the Roethinger makers from Strasbourg.
