Saint Odile Church in Wintzfelden
The church of Wintzfelden, originally dedicated to Saint George, has been dedicated to Saint Odile since 1862. Its origins date back to 1336, when it was mentioned as a subsidiary of the parish of Soultzmatt. The building retains a tower from the second half of the 12th century, as well as an old choir, now transformed into a side chapel, which was remodeled in the 14th century. In 1859, the church was in such a state of disrepair that the community decided to rebuild it. A new nave and choir were then constructed, arranged perpendicular to the old nave. The materials used for this work may have come from the Schwartzenthann convent.
