Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune Protestant Church

Built starting in 1031 on the foundations of a Merovingian chapel, this Gothic church was consecrated in 1053 by the Alsatian Pope Leo IX. It still preserves the base of its bell tower porch as well as remnants of the original Romanesque building's walls. Inside, visitors can admire 14th-century frescoes, a remarkable rood screen, and a cloister with elements of 11th-century columns. Entry is free, but Sunday morning services take place. Guided tours are available by prior reservation by calling 03 88 32 41 61.
