Saint Stephen Fountain in Osenbach

Built in 1853, this fountain replaced a series of sandstone and wooden troughs that were once located along the main street. All were supplied by a single pipe.

To meet the need for water reserves in case of fire, the municipality decided to erect this new fountain with two spouts.

It was also adorned with a statue representing Saint Stephen, patron of the Osenbach parish. The sculpture shows him dressed as a deacon, holding the palm of martyrdom, a symbol of his sacrifice.
