Saint Thiébaut Fountain

The Thann fountain was built in 1549 by Hans Beltzi, one of the master builders of the Collegiate Church. Its base, made of Vosges sandstone, bears the city's coat of arms, topped by a statue representing Saint Thiébaut, bishop of Gubbio in the 16th century. This statue, installed in 1840, replaces the one that once adorned the Rhine gate and was destroyed during the Revolution.
