Saint Wolfgang Chapel

Perched on a rock overlooking the cemetery, Saint Wolfgang Chapel was consecrated in 1418 before being rebuilt in 1488 and again in 1519. This modest building, overlooking the south of the town, is surrounded by a rich history and a persistent legend: the half-timbered house located just opposite, often mistakenly associated with a former leper hospital, was actually a dwelling for those responsible for the chapel's upkeep, such as hermits or chaplains. Several sculptures from the 15th, 16th, and 18th centuries, once present in the chapel, are now preserved in the municipal museum. The site, steeped in memory, has been listed as a historic monument since 1938.
