Sainte-Barbe Church

The Sainte-Barbe Church was built between 1928 and 1929 according to the plans of architect Georges Debut, then architect of the MDPA.

This place of worship is distinguished today by its classification as a historic monument since January 21, 1993.

This official recognition is mainly based on the exceptional quality of its interior paintings, created between 1928 and 1931 by Georges Desvallières. He, co-founder with Maurice Denis of the Ateliers d'Art Sacré, left a major artistic mark here, thus contributing to the heritage value of the building.
