Sainte-Marguerite Chapel
The chapel is distinguished by its cross-shaped plan, fully vaulted since the 11th century. At the intersection of the arms of the cross rises a central tower. Its porch gallery, built at a right angle in the 12th century and unique in Alsace, protects the two original entrances of the building. Among them, the ossuary, whose origin remains unknown, draws visitors' attention.
A small garden inspired by medieval times surrounds the chapel. Aromatic, medicinal, vegetable, and ornamental plants, including old roses, are arranged in squares and triangles bordered by woven branches and boxwood. At the heart of this garden, a pink sandstone stone lets flow a gentle and soothing water.
