Sainte-Marie Church
The Sainte-Marie Church is the last remaining testimony of a Franciscan convent built in the 13th century. Constructed on stilts, it was surrounded by a cemetery reserved for nobles and members of the religious order. During the Reformation, the building was requisitioned, damaged, and converted into an arsenal or granary. In 1803, it was assigned to Protestant worship before gradually returning to Catholic use from 1830 onward. It was officially dedicated to the Virgin Mary only in 1846.
