Saverne Pass Botanical Garden
Perched at 335 meters altitude, halfway up the Saverne Pass, the Botanical Garden, founded by pharmacist-botanist Émile Walter, covers 2.5 hectares in the heart of a clearing.
This biodiversity-focused site showcases remarkable plant collections, inviting visitors to stroll through the seasons.
Key areas include the Alpinum, featuring mountain perennial plants, and the Arboretum, which displays a wide variety of conifers, deciduous trees, shrubs, and small trees.
Lower down, the peat bog hosts aquatic species, including Sarracenia, a carnivorous plant.
The garden also highlights ferns, especially those typical of the Vosges, as well as large lawns.
Open year-round, it offers guided tours and workshops for all audiences.
Special rates apply for groups of more than ten people, with or without a guide, by reservation.
